Youth Services Specialist

Women’s Center-Youth & Family Services is hiring a Full-time (Non-Exempt) Youth Services Specialist. The Youth Services Specialist will provide guidance, training and mentoring to youth in day-to-day livings skills that include facilitation of classes and house meetings, meal preparation, laundry training, housekeeping skills and educational needs. Supervise youth at the residence, either Safe House or Opportunity House. Responsible for all shelter conditions including cleanliness, supply management and licensing regulations. Active participation at community events and meetings as required. Maintain a professional attitude with youth and co-workers, follow and enforce agency rules. Be an active and positive member of the case management team. Must be willing to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays. Bilingual/Spanish preferred, but not required. Effective immediately, the following programs, services and events are limited, postponed or cancelled:

In-Person Services are Limited 

  • Our 24-Hour helplines are available for over the phone crisis services.
  • Client appointments are available by phone.
  • WCYFS’ Youth Drop-In Center and California Street Office are closed to the public, but WCYFS will continue to provide food to youth clients in need. Youth clients are able to pick up food at the California Street Office from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
  • Court accompaniment will be on a case-by-case basis at this time. 
  • We are still available to assist with any urgent temporary restraining order (TRO) needs over the phone during business hours (209) 941-2611.
