Twinkling lights. Welcoming homes. Brightly decorated Christmas trees. The holiday season is upon us.

Yet, for many homeless youth and families who have fled from domestic violence, this magical time of year is especially difficult. Women, children, youth and men in crisis arrive at our shelters and offices shaken by trauma and anxious about their future. Children ask “How will Santa know where to find us?” and parents worry about how they will afford the basic necessities, let alone presents.

To support these individuals and families through this difficult time, Women’s Center-Youth & Family Services is sponsoring the 2019 Holiday Adopt-A-Family program.

“Making a difference in the lives of the families and youth we serve during the holiday season is truly a rewarding experience. Being able to contribute and bring some light to such a dark and scary time in their lives is what the holiday season is all about. The impact to their lives is immeasurable, their smiles are priceless, and their gratitude is immense. Women’s Center-Youth & Family Services’ Adopt-A-Family program is a wonderful experience for both Adopters and families alike.”

– Stephanie Player, Director of Programs
